Why is my printer compatible with the USB 2.0 port, but it is plugged in but not usable?

My printer is plugged into port 2.0 and it shows that it is not specified. The troubleshooting says that it is not compatible with port 3.0. All of my ports are plugged in. It is said that it is not compatible with port 3.0. There is obviously 2.0 port. Why can't you use it? Is there a problem with the computer?
