Can my HP notebook change the solid state drive?

Addition: There is no hard disk mode option in the computer BIOS. Can't use SSDs

Addition: Can't choose AHCI

    You can use a solid state drive, which means you can’t get the read and write speed of a solid state drive.

    This old book, still do not use solid state drives, performance improvement is minimal, wasting money.
